i know it's a day late! better late than never. i'll get today's pic up later today.

we went to my mom's last night to play canasta. it was nice to get out of the house for a little bit. i ended up leaving silas with her so i could get caught up on some school work this morning. good people, good food, good laughs, good times!

day 5 - hanging it in to dry

why yes, i do have a clothes line in my house.

as much as i'm loving being all green and not using my dryer (oh let's be honest, my dryer is broken) hanging clothes up inside is tedious. not because it takes a long time to hang up, it just takes forever to dry.

day 4

ladies and gents, we are moving on up. not only are we eating purees of all different foods, we're gnawing on apple wedges, cucumbers, steamed broccoli, and these mama made teething cookies!



p.s. ladies of the 365 project, i literally turned off my computer and got half way up the stairs when i remembered i needed to do this!

day 3

this is the mother and child from my nativity set. i know, i know...i need to take down the rest of the christmas decorations. it amazes me though, how differently i look at mary and baby Jesus now.

and just because he's so cute!

day 2

he fell asleep on the floor. i didn't have the heart to try and wake him up. the poor thing hasn't been sleeping well. hopefully he gets a good nap. mama needs him to get a good nap!

Day 1

so i'm pretty sure that most people start these 365 projects on january 1...but i'm not big on being like everyone else. so i'm starting on january 30! well, actually i'm starting on the 31st since it's technically after midnight. whatever.

ANYWAY...i plan to take at least one picture a day and spend some time editing and playing around with it. sometimes you may not see any edits. depends on how i'm feeling. i'm hoping that this will make me a better photographer, help me figure out my new editing software, and more important than all that, it provides me a year's worth of documented history.

maybe i won't get the pics up every single day, though that is my goal. so i'm starting now:

i found a sock monkey with all my teaching stuff. he's digging it! oh, and notice the quilt. my grandma made that for me when i was a baby.
